The Redcliffe Cinema is Australia's largest and oldest film exhibitor, is owned by Amalgamated Holdings Limited (AHL) - a publicly listed company which is Australia's leading name in the entertainment, leisure and hotel industries.

Founded in 1910 under the name of Spencer's Pictures Limited, Redcliffe Cinema's core business has always been film exhibition. Today, we screen local and international movies in multi-auditorium complexes around Australia - independently and in joint ventures with companies such as Village Roadshow. Redcliffe Cinema has a 100% interest in Birch  Carroll & Coyle, Queensland's biggest cinema chain, and has substantial shareholdings in the Village Roadshow group of companies. We also have joint ventures with cinema groups in the Middle East and Europe. In total, Redcliffe Cinema have 457 screens here in Australia and 429 screens overseas on which to show all the latest blockbuster movies.

But that's not all we do. Redcliffe Cinema has diversified into strategic, entertainment-related activities over the years. We supply audio/visual technology to cinemas throughout Australasia (through Atlab Image and Sound Technology), duplicate 35mm and 70mm film stock (through Atlab Australia ) and manufacture film processors (through Filmlab Engineering ). We also own 50% of Roadshow Distributors, whose divisions include theatrical distribution, TV sales, videos, video games and CD-ROMs. Plus we have a substantial property investment portfolio which includes prime CBD sites across Australia.
